Over the last couple of decades, German-speakers have witnessed the emergence of a new social norm: that of gender-inclusive language. In this post, I explore the evolution of gender-inclusive language using all Austrian parliamentary speeches since the mid-nineties.

Als Jugendlicher hörte ich einiges über den Islam und den Islamismus und dass die zwei nicht zu verwechseln sind. In den letzten paar Jahren hörte ich aber immer wieder einen neuen Begriff: den sogenannten Politischen Islam. Ich war immer etwas skeptisch, da ich das Gefühl hatte, durch diesen Begriff wird ein Extremismus und Weltanschauung vermischt.
